Alyssa "lyss" Alcorta was born in Colorado Springs, CO. She spent most of her life in Green Bay, WI where she currently resides with her various pets. She graduated in spring 2021 with a BFA in Illustration from the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire. Alyssa's work is primarily digital with a focus on bringing the qualities of charcoal and graphite into her work. The subjects of her projects vary depending on her current obsession, but she typically explores the fantastical with an emphasis on creatures. Alyssa has received the Edward Haugen ‘Ted’ Leslie Memorial Art Scholarship and Charles and Ann Campbell Scholarship during her time at college and has had work shown in the 63rd Annual Juried Student Show at the Foster Gallery in Eau Claire, WI. She also did illustrations for the Eau Claire magazine, Volume One.
